Acquisition of Methodological and Digital Competences within Lifelong Learning Programmes

Abstract:
This paper examines the acquisition of methodological and digital competencies among participants of the lifelong learning program at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, specifically the Pedagogical-Psychological-Didactic-Methodological (PPDM) training program. The program is intended for people who have completed higher education studies other than teaching and aspire to work in education. The aim of the research is to assess the perceived usefulness of methodological topics and to determine the level of methodological knowledge, methodological competences and digital competences acquired through the program. Data were collected via an online questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were conducted. The results indicate a high level of satisfaction with the usefulness of methodological topics, as well as a high level of self-assessment of methodological knowledge, methodological competences and digital competences in all examined dimensions. Statistically significant differences were identified with regard to gender, level of education, teaching experience and age in certain variables. Overall, the findings confirm the effectiveness of the PPDM program in supporting the development of key professional competences.
