Abstract:
Human resource management (HRM) is undergoing a profound transformation at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and cybersecurity. Despite these shifts, higher education curricula remain largely anchored in traditional paradigms, producing graduates insufficiently prepared for contemporary organizational realities. This review synthesizes peer-reviewed literature (2021–2025) to identify critical misalignments between academic preparation and workplace demands. Three interrelated gaps emerge: Insufficient cybersecurity literacy among HR practitioners, rapid AI-driven workforce transformation, and misalignment between curriculum and practice. In response, this study proposes a four-pillar framework for strategic HRM education integrating AI literacy, workforce analytics, organizational security, and ethical leadership. The framework advances a systemic redesign approach to ensure HR graduates possess technological fluency, analytical capability, risk awareness, and moral discernment. The findings underscore the urgency of curriculum innovation aligned with accelerating technological change.
