Abstract:

Prior studies emphasize the role of business ethics education in fostering ethical awareness and professional responsibility, while noting limitations in practical application. This study examines business students’ perceptions of the ethical knowledge acquired at university and its relevance to professional practice. It addresses how students evaluate ethics content, teaching approaches, and professional applicability, hypothesizing an overall positive perception with identified pedagogical gaps. Using a quantitative, descriptive design, a structured questionnaire was administered to 209 undergraduate business students in the Dominican Republic. Results reveal strong familiarity with ethical concepts, high perceived professional relevance, positive faculty evaluation, and a need for more experiential, practice-oriented teaching strategies.
