Abstract:
This study examines the determinants of cloud storage service (CSS) adoption among students in higher education institutions in Thailand. Drawing from the literature on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research explores social influence (SI), self-efficacy (SE), perceived ubiquity / mobility (PU_M), perceived privacy and security (PP_S), perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), trust (TU), and attitude (ATT) on behavior intention (BI). IT is hypothesized that SI, SE, PU_M, and PP_S significantly predict TAM, and TAM significantly determines BI. The research utilized a quantitative survey methodology, collecting data from 565 higher-education students in Thailand using an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to validate the measurement model and examine the proposed relationships. The analysis indicated that SE and PU_M exerted significant effects on TAM, whereas SI was not statistically supported. PP_S was found to have a significant influence on TU, while SI significantly affected ATT. In addition, TAM and TU were shown to significantly predict ATT, which in turn played a significant role in determining BI. These findings inform national digital transformation and higher education policies by highlighting the importance of strengthening students’ competencies, trust frameworks, and mobile-ready learning infrastructures to enable effective technology uptake.
