Abstract:

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the field of art education heralds a paradigmatically transformative era for both creativity and pedagogical methods. This bibliometric analysis looks at emerging trends for the period from 2020 to 2024, focusing on AI's abilities to improve accessibility, tailor educational experiences to individual needs and democratise access to artistic resources. Based on a corpus of 261 scientific articles from the Web of Science database, the interdisciplinary use of AI is thoroughly analysed and key trends, influential players and emerging challenges are described. Empirical evidence shows that AI serves as a catalyst for innovative pedagogical strategies and the expansion of creative horizons. At the same time, ethical, technical and pedagogical concerns are addressed, including authorship, transparency of algorithms and equal access. By aligning with United Nations Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 10 (Reducing Inequalities), this analysis emphasises the transformative potential of AI in promoting inclusive, equitable and quality education for learners around the world. By proactively addressing these important challenges, stakeholders can optimise the integration of AI into arts education frameworks, empowering educators and learners while preserving the sanctity of human creativity. This comprehensive analysis lays a solid foundation for future research and practical implementations aimed at enhancing the synergistic convergence of technological advances, educational paradigms and artistic expression.
