Abstract:

 

The palm oil industry has its own issues, and one of them is related to sustainability issues. This paper aims to analyze and visualize the sustainability performance of the palm oil industry with Geographic Information System (GIS). The sustainability of the palm oil industry has three main dimensions, which are Economic, Social and Environmental. In this paper, 7 sustainability indicators were used in each of these dimensions. The results provide the sustainability performance measurement of the palm oil industry on several locations in Sumatra & Borneo islands, and have been visualized using the QGIS application.
