Abstract:

 

Education provides patients with useful information, essential for living in specific situations of life. The purpose of this article was to prove statistically that supporting patients with the appropriate source of information might cause changes in their lifestyle. Better knowledge helps patients to follow the necessary guidelines while living with hemodialysis. The efficient outcome depends on the changes, that appear in the patient’s behaviour. Knowledge helps to easier adjustment to the new situation. The efforts of the staff, taking care of such patients are directed to improve their quality of life. The final aim is to achieve emotional support and patients’ self -management.
